Bengaluru, India: After being made to eat crow by Govt, at-least now veterans should be responsible about Kashmir

Sub:- (i)- BJP Govt was earlier adamant that no talks with separatists who do not believe in Constitutional provision of J&K (including PoK) as integral part of India (ii)- At-least a dozen military Veterans have been appearing on TV in support of jingoism & Hindu nationalism (iii)- Now Govt prepared to talk to even separatists without pre-condition (iv)- Veterans should at-least now realize that military gets respect by discharging martial duty and not by meaningless debates in favor of jingoism (v)- Indian military Veterans should restore the pride place of Indian military by demanding (on TV) talks with Pakistan for retrieve of PoK (militarily if necessary)
----For the last few years especially since PM Modi from BJP of Hindutva forces came to power a ‘revolution’ has come in the prominent at-least one dozen TV Channels in India where sober debates have been replaced by boisterous debates which has made the panel discussions on these TV Channels as fish-market where it is difficult to make-out what the participants are talking about. But these fish-market debates have become very popular in democratic India (where general public likes no-hold-bar acrimonious debates). Surprisingly and unfortunately about a dozen military veterans (retired mostly senior military officers) also have been participating in these fish-market TV debates in support of this jingoism & Hindu nationalism which was branding practically entire Kashmiri Muslims (especially separatists) as anti-national & pro-Pakistan. These Kashmiri separatists were even branded as Dalal (brokers) of Pakistan due to raids on these separatists and their friends & family members by enforcement agencies of the Govt against money alleged paid by Pakistan to these separatists for fomenting trouble in Kashmir (such as stone-pelting, burning of schools etc and even financial & other support to militants in Kashmir).
The BJP Govt in Center and in J&K (where BJP is in Govt in coalition with PDP) were earlier adamant that there should be no talks with separatists who do not believe in Constitutional provision of entire J&K (including PoK) as an integral part of India. But now BJP Govts (as per BJP general Secretary and in-charge for J&K matters Ram Madhav’s statement on September, 21 widely reported in print and electronic media) are prepared to talk to even separatists without pre-condition. This has made (in addition to other political commentators in favor of jingoism & Hindu nationalism on these fish-market TV debates) the military veterans also red faced. After thus being made to eat crow by Govt, at-least NOW military veterans should be responsible about Kashmir.
These military veterans (while participating in these debates of jingoism & Hindu nationalism) were not realizing that Kashmir problem is there because India has not retrieved PoK (even militarily if necessary) whereas without unification of J&K there is no solution to Kashmir problem. On the contrary Pakistan (much smaller than India) tried to take Indian side of J&K many times militarily in 1947-48, 1965, 1971 during Kargil etc which (as per adverse possession based on acquiescence and in-ordinate delay) gives better title to Pakistan over entire J&K. Hindu majority India did not retrieve PoK militarily because PoK is Muslim populated and India in pursuance to communal policy (instead of pursuing secular & nationalist policies) does not want to shed blood for Muslim area.
Veterans should at-least now realize that military gets respect by discharging martial duty and not by participating in meaningless debates on the side of jingoist-civilians. Moreover Indian military is getting bad name because instead of showing courage to take-on Pak military for the purpose of retrieving PoK, Indian military is showing ‘bravery’ by training guns mainly at Kashmiri civilians under the protection of AFSPA, SPA etc in J&K.
Therefore Indian military Veterans should keep on participating in these fish-market TV debates and should restore the pride place of Indian military by demanding talks with Pakistan for retrieve of PoK (militarily if necessary) and should opposes, hammer & tongs, any talk with separatists except preparing the people of J&K (including separatists) for the retrieve of PoK (even militarily if necessary).
